It's taking too much effort to duplicate a blog...
Hi this is Ben. The official "blog updater" for Soo Jin's blog.
It has been sometime since I started "copying + pasting" Soo Jin's blog and created an almost identical duplicate here at soojc.blogspot.com - all in the effort to get Soo Jin to embrace the world of Blogger.com...
After a good number of updates, the task has begun to take it's toll on me. This dude writes too much! :)
This should, be my final post for this blog. If you have been reading and found his posts rather entertaining, for future updates, please refer to his official blog at http://www.livejournal.com/users/dcsjin/.
Cheers!

as told by the massage therapist
Life is a comedy for those who think,
Life is a tragedy for those who feel
interesting words arranged interestingly..
but humans are creatures of emotion mainly...
that's where passion and intensity tends to come in
so.. I guess we need to balance between our feelings and our thought processes and not allow either to overwhelm the other, instead let it just be in harmony

more theft!
I've learned- that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.
I've learned- that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
I've learned- that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
I've learned- that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned- that it's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned- that you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes, after that, you'd better know something.
I've learned- that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do.
I've learned- that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.
I've learned- that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I've learned- that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I've learned- that you can keep going long after you can't.
I've learned- that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I've learned- that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I've learned- that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
I've learned- that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I've learned- that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I've learned- that my best friend and can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
I've learned- that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I've learned- that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I've learned- that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
I've learned- that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
I've learned-that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
I've learned- that you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.
I've learned- that your family won't always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again. Families aren't biological.
I've learned- that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I've learned- that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I've learned- that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned- that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.
I've learned- that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
I've learned- that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I've learned- that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.
I've learned- that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.
I've learned- that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I've learned- that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being...

The Difference Between Malaysians and Singaporeans
By Eddie G.
It's not as if you hadn't noticed, but Malaysians and Singaporeans do have quite a bit in common. However, if you do pay attention, you might notice some distinguishing traits that might spell the difference between a true blue Malaysian and a die-hard Singaporean. These are guidelines. No one has to follow them, but generally they do.
AT A BUFFET
Malaysian: Eats until he throws up
Singaporean: Eats until he throws up, and then eats some more
LAW & ORDER
Malaysian: Knows his laws, disobeys them and that's fine
Singaporean: Knows his laws, disobeys them and gets fined
ECONOMY
Malaysian: Trade Union owned by rich, pretentious bastards who don't know shit about the struggles of the working class
Singaporean: Trade Union owned by the government
MANNERS
Malaysian: Cuts a queue, feels guilty, trys to pretend nothing happened
Singaporean: Cuts a queue, feels guilty, trys to justify his motive ("Actually hor, you know ah, I've been here already for very long, one!")
CUSTOMS
Malaysian: Attempts to smuggle drugs and tobacco into Singapore
Singaporean: Attempts to smuggle chewing gum into Singapore
LEADERSHIP
Malaysian: Former Prime Minister retires and goes off to enjoy life while calling the shots from behind the scene
Singaporean: Former Prime Minister retires... oh wait, no he doesn't.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Malaysian: Builds Twin Towers to symbolize what Malaysia is all about
Singaporean: Builds Twin Metal-Spiked Balls for the same purpose
CORRUPTION
Singaporean: Culprit begs policeman for leniency
Malaysian: Policeman begs culprit for bribes
POLITICS
Malaysian: Believes in a one-phantom-one-vote policy
Singaporean: Lee Kuan Yew votes on behalf of the country
CENSORSHIP
Singaporean: Allows adult films to be screened so long as patrons are of age and film possesses a certain aesthetic value
Malaysian: Buy the VCD lah!
PATRIOTISM
Malaysian: Sings Malaysian National Anthem in Bahasa Malaysia
Singaporean: Sings Singaporean National Anthem in Bahasa Malaysia

how interesting
Today's Forecast
Romance is in the air -- and you've been thinking about making a permanent commitment. If your sweetie seems just as willing as you are to take this thing out for a test ride, don't be shy. Suggest monogamy.

Divergence.. poor movie.
poor poor poor
too many short lived people
too many sub plots
although the portrayal of flawed beings was especially powerful.. in some instances but the rest were rather overly-dramatic.
...
I didn't have dinner
so..
we snuck in a veritable feast of a&w food
2 rootbeers
1 mozza burger
1 coney dog
1 of 2 piece chicken
1 curly fries
come to think of it.. i didn't eat the fries.. =(
and then.. some big cat (tiger) at taipan.. brought the 2 girls out.. Wiri and Ivana..
then
we drank, had some satay, no more chicken wings today =(
then.. sat and talked .. can't even really remember much of what was said.. ohhhhh.. langkawi and backpacking.. lol.. minute I said, don't expect frequent baths, girls changed their minds.
sent everyone home, had a tickle fight with the 2 at the back.. YW was driving and Jamie was sitting in front too.. so i sat at the back..
WAR!!!!
hahaha
it's been a while..
fun.. heh
then had to walk them up cos they were afraid of being ina lift by themselves so late at night.. =)
so walked them back
came back down
came home
the end
.. now.. what do i do tomorrow?
DAMN HOLIDAYS!
hahaha
*note, I saw Geri from Trinity on the way to passion last night.. didn't call out... don't know why =)*

blah
I didn't have the chance to update yesterday cos I was so tired..
so.. here goes..
day at work..
wasted 1 n half hours waiting for dad at the office, then had dinner with the folks.. Peranakan House. =)
and then went to see my granma who hit her head.. she's doing just fine.. sat with her for about 1hour and quite a lot more.. then only came back
emm.. was supposed to meet Sook Yee for some drinks before heading out yesterday.. but her dinner engagement took 4 hours.. by which I had already picked Wen Nie up (lives really near me) and was in the process of picking up Jamie and Eunice for a night out.. Went to Rum Jungle and opened a bottle... from the 5, we expanded into a group that had 11 in total.. I'll probably never see them again.. and I didn't catch their names either.. =)
Was doing some light drinking.. and.. attempting to loosen up.. somewhat, and there were no chairs so we were all kind of standing around a table... sigh
one of the guys was motioning to me.. and then he said,"eh, she's waiting for u." "she" was this.. hot.. probably late 20's female who was dancing prohibitively close.. she invaded my personal bubble! omigod! anyway, I called him crazy and.. just ignored her while nursing my drink.. =)
the girls were going nuts taking photos.. lol.. I wonder if i can pinch some off them and put them over at my blogspot place.
They were also a little sleepy/tired so we left after nearly 2 hours.. and went for good supper.. Beef noodle!!! woo =D had a large one then came back and slept.. *ahhh*
There was something about Ah May and her friendly friend.. but I CBFed.. =)
This morning, my alarm rang and I woke up.. wondering whether or not to call those 2.. I was supposed to go shopping.. well not GO shopping but bring them there.
Ivana called, told me Sherly didn't want to go.. I called Sherly and told her to get dressed.. =)
picked them up and went to hartamas. 2 of Ivana's friend joined us. *edit*Vera and Dianny =) names are always hazardous..
one's shorter, the other's taller..
and then..
yeah went to hartamas, had lunch at TamNakThai.. don't bother going there.. I couldn't find any saving grace.. it was just poor.. and expensive
Curry, Tom yum, cold coconut milk do not work very well.. =) I had to visit the toilet..
heh
went to Cat's Whiskers after that and the girls did their shopping.. and i sat there.. looking at people and reading magazines. Patrick came after a while and accompanied me in my thankless task.
I'm gonna join Pat one of these days on his culinary adventures.. yumm....
anyway, he proposed coffee but Ferra had to go back.. so parted ways and I proceeded to drop all concerned home..
"My Place" apartments was one of the stop and there was a dog involved as well.. girls played with it.. then left.. and next stop was the KTM station.. and then.. made a brief detour at the Pasar Malam then dropped them home and came back.
There was this kancil packed with people.. and they were doing head-banging in the car.. pretty funny.
I'm watching Divergence tonight with Jamie and Yew Wen.. Alicia ffk, Eunice isn't feeling too well..
so it's just the 3 of us.. will have big cat after that maybe =)
a wee bit disappointed i think... *shrug*
that's it for now
To Jamie,
"Mandy was born on April 10th 1984 in Nashua, New Hampshire. However, her family soon moved to Orlando, Florida where she currently resides."

silly *grin*
of late, I've noticed myself developing perhaps.. minor attraction to various females.. I feel that I am suffering from perhaps a case of needytitis.. a condition where, I just want someone around.. it's abrupt.. from having someone who's around you nearly 24/7 to.. nothing.. a self-diagnosis from a guy who took ONE unit of psychology... lol
I'm not sure about what I feel at the moment but.. their (2 girls) image do run around my head from time to time aside from the resident honcho who's got her claws sunk deep in. I don't feel a physical pain or longing but just a sense of loss from time to time..
perhaps I'm doing some kind of transference of my feelings on 'honcho' to these 2 girls.. There are complications on both sides should I actually want to act on these yet not-fully formed feelings of mine.. hence my need to tread carefully.. and not divulge names.. as i've learnt that, more people read my journal these days.. this ain't a gossip channel.. =P
perhaps a wiser course would be to wait.. but what does it mean when you see their name flash across the face of your mobile, and all you can do is give a silly grin.. lol
silly isn't it? =)
bright april afternoon..
too bright.. hurts the eyes i tell you

Current Music: Jon B - Someone To Love
teeheehee!!
I shall not be censored!! =D
Thursday, I was late for my class so I didn't end up going.. I had lunch with IM members.. and saw this cute indon girl.. don't think i've been introduced yet..
anyway..
went for CB class after that, then was hopping around like a mad person.. cos I was sitting a bit far away from the rest of the people..
After class, I had a drink with Wei Ing and we talked a bit.. tres cool.. =)
she's a cool person and fairly intelligent too.. fun to talk to
came back and then waited for YCheng to come get me for dinner.. I was sooo hungry by the time she came, we went to the nearby place at Alisan for dinner.. good food, comfortable company.. too much food.. hahaha
then came back .. oh my dad got back already.. and he didn't bring the keys, so he was waiting for me as I got back..
then I started on my assignment.
I was warned not to include stuff in here.. lol
wonder why =)
So.. i only had.. 3 hours of sleep.. and the rest of the time, I was doing my assignment. I was in the comp lab today till 4 finishing it up with my friends and some acquaintances.. it's interesting how people can talk to absolute strangers if the need is great enough, as though, making new friends wasn't such a big deal. After a while, I ended up sitting opposite Cindy and it was.. amusing to see how the guys flocked to her side while she was doing her assignment.. I counted.. 6-7 .. and I don't know why I counted.. =)
anyway.. it was crazy (the assignment).. I was sooo hungry as i didn't get lunch.. so i went for a sandwich in the cafeteria.. Sherly and Jeny were still there filling out some silly forms about music.
Aishath was still up at 6 am.. and she was helpful.. as was Yeok Cheng as she pointed out the things that I could put in.. or should put in..
I think I was bugging Ashley a little too much today.. as I attempted to finish everything.. hehe
Jacky was also one of the most sought after individual today...
anyway
went for IM class.. kept falling asleep.. so tired..
Jeny and Sherly were exchanging notes.. and when I wanted to see (curiousity), Jeny snatched it.. and after a fashion started tearing it up.. lol
I wonder what could elicit that sort of reaction..
after that, went with the group to look for Dr. Nelson and had a short chat with him
I picked my car up from the car wash and then went to pyramid... for eventually 1 + 1/2 hours.. sigh.. I was really hungry so I had a coney dog.. then a free root beer with a 50 cents top up of ice cream.. cheap!
hahaha =) filled up my stomach.. walked around a bit, and then went back to wait.. There was this caucasian guy who's getting a manicure.. near the end, Ah May was fanning his hands so that they could dry quicker.. she got a $2 tip for that.. lol
oh yeah.. Ah May was being her usual self.. really amusing.. she is rather cute in that sort of.. coquettish type thing..
I'm attempting to use big words so that people will think that it's praises and won't bang me for it
=P
*oo note*
girls with.. low cut tops should not lean/bend over without covering openings.. it gives guys heart attacks..
=D
and then..
we had dinner together with their family.. Eunice, Jamie, their mom (birthday lady), aunt, uncle and last but not least.. the 2 little kids.. oh.. not forgetting Alicia... (do u think i put your name deliberately at the end?? ) =P
who cares?!?!?
food was passable.. Oh ... there's this drifting thing that happens at Extreme Park .. all manner of vehicles were just.. drifting and drifting.. lots of noise and smoke.. =)
after food, went to Jamie's for mahjong.. man was I unlucky.. I lost pretty much all that I won the other day and then some.. =) and it was only after Alicia came back from her drinking session that I recouped some losses.. =) I told her to play in my stead and first 4 rounds.. she won 3, 2 of which were full.. man.. I was there for 2 hours and I didn't get a single full win.. bleagh
my lucky star.. =) this reminds me, whenever Cindy sat next to me, played for me.. she'd invariably lose me money.. "black star"
fated.. =D therefore.. alicia = lucky star, cindy = black star.. man.. i'm still bitching.. =)
so.. called it a night and came back..
it was .. funny watching Alicia play mahjong, she was a little clumsy with the tiles.. which in the end was kinda cute in a klutzy kind of way.. hahaha
There was a brief moment during dinner where I was going to go up to Ipoh on Sunday.. which was then called off.. lol =)
we'll see when that happens..
anyway... brief one today..
g'nite
"lonely, i am so lonely, i have nobody, to call my own..."
*wink* peace people
Thursday, I was late for my class so I didn't end up going..
so.. called it a night and came back..
it was .. funny watching Alicia play mahjong, she was a little clumsy with the tiles.. which in the end was kinda cute in a klutzy kind of way.. hahaha

we'll see when that happens..

Today at work, there was a call from some anonymous, well not quite anonymous call from this person claiming to be a government appointed corporate governance compliance trouble-shooter. Right off the bat, she said that there was something wrong with our R.O.C. (Registrar of Companies), when pressed, she couldn't provide details, and yet we're supposed to comply with this apparently goverment appointed agent who knows next to nothing?
Insane.
and.. irresponsible. Every other year, someone will call regarding this kind of matters which sounds officious but when pressed, sounds suspiciously like a thinly-veiled attempt to squeeze more money out of us.
Hell no.. =)
scare tactics to induce us to pay for a course that is pretty much useless.. perhaps this should be highlighted to the newspapers.. We'll see if I'm feeling up to it or not. =)

seems like that song generated some.. reactions.. lol
emm..
let's see
I had a massage therapy today..
whole body aching.. that kinda thing.. pressing places i never knew existed.. .. never knew that pain receptors existed there i mean..
1 and a half hour of pain..
lovely way to start the day i tell you..
*nearly forgot*
Cindy's mom called.. They just received the e-mail i sent them.. she asked if I was alright.. and etc.. etc.. etc.. maybe Cindy doesn't know what she wants yet.. and etc.. etc.. etc..
sigh
i'm still.. welcome to look for them when i go to hk.. so maybe i'll do that.. it was nice of her to call though.. =) that's why I sent the e-mail.. to thank them for their warmth and friendliness. *end memory*
then
talked to Eva.. she's a crazy girl/momma.. was attempting to make plans for the weekend.. mahjong!! woo =D
ermm..
oh yeah talked to Vincent too.. my man is now in CSL..*edit I think it's CSR.. * SUGAR.. hahaha
castor sugar.. i remember buying that brand.. anyway he makes the flu vaccine.. and packages it and stuff
haven't spoken/chat to him in ages.. sigh.. i miss him somewhat.. he's a really good friend.
then i went for class.. didn't know how to answer him..
I realise, Jaclyn has a pretty nice body.. =)
just noticing.. nothing pervy happening here.
ermm..
met Jamie for dinner, everyone else turned me down.. lol Ah May is.. the annoyingly flirty coy "and u absolutely know she's just playing" type..
she was going on again.. lol.. feel like strangling her sometimes.. but it's funny.. =) some entertainment
Basically I ate, and she accompanied.. I had Genki Sushi.. hahaha.. I'm not a big fan of sushi but I wanted to eat it for some reason..
to exorcise ghosts maybe..
it was rather expensive.. reminded me WHY i don't eat japanese food in the first place.. lol
Then I went to pick Ivana and Sherly up to go to pasar malam.. we were only there for like 30 minutes before the skies opened up..
dropped them off then went back to Pyramid and had a manicure.. lol
Jamie practiced on me..
it was really weird.. lots of people just kept looking!!!
ugh..
stupid Jamie..
and then.. in the end, Eunice and Jamie were doing one each hand.. lol
I have shiny nails.. -_-
dropped them home, then went in and said hi
Alicia was so anti-social.. didn't come down until later, and when she did, she ignored me!!
gah
played with Eunice's kids some.. hahaha.. was funny.. =) i think they like me.. lol
I left close to 11.. came back and got settled down and it's already 1.30.. omigod
time for bed..
my heart aches for other reasons..
do i need more heartache atm?
i think that's a resounding NO!

and so my day went something like this..
today
case study done in the morning
went for tute..
was rather sleepy so..
went to the washroom to wash face..
saw cindy in class actually..
and.. it was .. a little ironic that she wore the exact same colour/hue as i did.. red top with dark blue bottom.. we couldn't have coordinated it better.. =)
oh I brought 5 whole text books to uni.. never felt so hardworking in my life before.. lol
of course.. i had to park very far today.. sigh.. walked quite a long way in.. and went to the comp lab first.. so i was carrying heaps of books.. heavy books today
after class, returned her her 2 books.. then I pitied her so I kept the library book and returned it after CB
during cb, this girl.. don't know her name really.. but she's my classmate, she was having equipment trouble.. and her presentation was pretty interesting.. lots of pictures to see
Ben did his presentation as well today.. and he raised a 'hot' topic.. regarding contraception.. lol
he directed it at this guy at first then he pointed it to me.. bugger.. asked me what kinda issues were there with using condoms..
I said," well, i guess I can't feel much" =D
whole class was laughing.. then he asked these 2 girls.. and they were jokingly offended asking if they seemed the type to know.. hehe
We went to eat at the 'orange' shop today... the newly opened one. I found out the name. It's called "One 2 eat"
=)
don't ask me why..
anyway.. food's vegetarian.. and cheap for vegetarian food.. and the service is bloody excellent.. love it.. =)
no sullen looks, no attitude.. just eager people eager to please..
emm.. after that, went to the comp lab and realised that I forgot to take my pendrive earlier!! *sob* it was gone.. unscrupulous people .. bah..
did a bit of the lending assignment and helped michelle understand what i was trying to do..
she looked very pale.. after her recent mystery illness and the subsequent jab and everything else.. poor thing
went for class after that
was rather empty.
I tried reading the textbook but I fell asleep after a while.
woke up then .. listened somemore for another hour.. then went to meet Yeok Cheng.. went to her house and chilled out there for a while.. fixed up her comp as well.. and then watched sitcom.. the drew carey show.. wooo =D
we went to kim gary for dinner.. and 'lo and behold, Ben and Stella were there too..
haha
so after introductions, sat down and .. ordered and then talked and ate dinner..
food as usual was good.. company was good too.. Ben wasn't quite his sparkling self due to long day and etc..
we parted ways and then I sent yeok cheng home.. then dropped off Ivana's things
then came back
Was on the phone with Sharon for about 49 minutes.. sorry dear, but 99 cents per minute is a little beyond me right now..
Talked to Yew Wen a bit as well..
and now i'm here online chatting =)
supposed to be doing Lending but.. gah.. not panicky mode yet..
sigh..
week just started but i'm already making plans for the long weekend.. lol =)
cheers people!

tribute.. thanks for being there
I've been meaning to.. find a way to pay tribute to the people who have helped me through my mini-crisis of the heart..
and after looking for.. some poetry.. (cos i'm a lazy bastard)
i find that they don't quite capture what I want to say.
I've never been much of a poet, an occasional writer perhaps but never a poet..
this is as good a time to start as any.. =)

didn't go so well.. =P
my friend,
you have been the voice of reason in my maze of despair,
as I fought to understand the reasons why,
you provided gentle guidance,
counselling was the order of the day,
and yet in the end all I needed was to hear her say those unforgettable words,
I don't love you anymore she said,
with that I cried anew, the pain and sadness burst asunder,
but with that the healing began,
as i traversed the canyon of sadness,
your voice called to me,
bringing me to the light
enabling me to think with clarity
to move forward with purpose and determination
never again I vowed but we both know
I will always be a fool in love.
now.. to reword that into a poem..
alp!
Thanks to all of you..

Seek Not My Heart
by Kit McCallum
Oh gentle winds 'neath moonlit skies,
Do not you hear my heartfelt cries?
Below the branches, here about,
Do not you sense my fear and doubt?
Side glistening rivers, sparkling streams,
Do not you hear my woeful screams?
Upon the meadows, touched with dew,
Do not you see my hearts a'skew?
Beneath the thousand twinkling stars,
Do not you feel my jagged scars?
Seek not my mournful heart kind breeze,
For you'll not find it 'mongst these trees.
It's scattered 'cross the moonlit skies,
Accompanied by heartfelt sighs.
It's drifting o're the gentle rain,
A symbol of my silent pain.
It's buried 'neath the meadow fair,
Conjoined with all the sorrow there.
It's lost among the stars this night,
Too far to ease my quiet fright.
No gentle winds, seek not my heart,
For simply ... it has torn apart.

Everything u need to know bout bananas, amazing facts
Message: Bananas
This is interesting. After Reading this, you'll never
look at a banana in the same way again.
Bananas. Containing three natural sugars -
sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber,
a banana gives an instant, sustained and
substantial boost of energy.
Research has proven that just two bananas provide
enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout.
No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with
the world's leading athletes.
But energy isn't the only way a banana can help
us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a
substantial number of illnesses and conditions,
making it a must to add to our daily diet.
EZrent.com
Depression: According to a recent survey
undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering
from depression, many felt much better after eating
a banana. This is because bananas contain
tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts
into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve
your mood and generally make you feel happier.
EZrent.com
PMS: Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin
B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels,
which can affect your mood.
Anemia: High in iron, bananas can stimulate the
production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps
in cases of anemia.
Blood Pressure: This unique tropical fruit is
extremely high in potassium yet low in salt,
making it the perfect to beat blood pressure. So
much so, the US Food and Drug Administration
has just allowed the banana industry to make
official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the
risk of blood pressure and stroke
Brain Power: 200 students at a Twickenham
(Middlesex) school were helped through their
exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast,
break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain
power. Research has shown that the potassium-
packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils
more alert. EZrent.com
Constipation: High in fiber, including bananas in
the diet can help restore normal bowel action,
helping to overcome the problem without resorting
to laxatives.
Hangovers: One of the quickest ways of curing a
hangover is to make a banana milkshake,
sweetened with honey. The banana calms the
stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up
depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes
and re-hydrates your system. EZrent.com
Heartburn: Bananas have a natural antacid effect in
the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating
a banana for soothing relief.
Morning Sickness: Snacking on bananas between
meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and
avoid morning sickness.
Mosquito bites: Before reaching for the insect bite
cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside
of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly
successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
Nerves: Bananas are high in B vitamins that help
calm the nervous system.
Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of
Psychology in Austria found pressure at work
leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and
crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients,
researchers found the most obese were more
likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report
concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food
cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels
by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two
hours to keep levels steady EZrent.com
Ulcers: The banana is used as the dietary food
against intestinal disorders because of its soft
texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that
can be eaten without distress in over-chronicler
cases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces
irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
Temperature control: Many other cultures see
bananas as a "cooling" fruit that can lower both the
physical and emotional temperature of expectant
mothers. In Thailand, for example, pregnant
women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born
with a cool temperature.
Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Bananas can
help SAD sufferers because they contain the
natural mood enhancer tryptophan.
Smoking: Bananas can also help people trying to
give up smoking. The B6,B12 they contain, as well
as the potassium and magnesium found in them,
help the body recover from the effects of nicotine
withdrawal.
Stress: Potassium is a vital mineral, which helps
normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain
and regulates your body's water balance. When we
are stressed, our metabolic rate rises, thereby
reducing our potassium levels. These can be
rebalanced with the help of a high-potassium
banana snack.
Strokes: According to research in "The New
England Journal of Medicine,"eating bananas as
part of a regular diet can cut the risk of death by
strokes by as much as 40%!
Warts: Those keen on natural alternatives swear
that if you want to kill off a wart, take a piece of
banana skin and place it on the wart, with the
yellow side out. Carefully hold the skin in place
with a plaster or surgical tape!
So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many
ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four
times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three
times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and
iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It
is also rich in potassium and is one of the best
value foods around. So maybe its time to change
that well-known phrase so that we say, "A banana
a day keeps the doctor away!" EZrent.com
P/S : Bananas must be the reason monkeys are
so happy all the time!

busy busy..
it's been an interesting day.. though it did not always seemed that way esp earlier at work.. and my further.. 6 hours spent at home..
I realised that my 3 ex's were Malaysians.. to a certain degree..
one was.. born, bred in gov school like me
one was in an international school
another one wasn't here for half her life alltogether.. but the common theme here was, they were all malaysians and their english were conversation worthy.
Now, as I can recall, i haven't really liked that many girls outside of Malaysia either..
there was Barbara, Wen Min, Crystal, and of late maybe Jeny. *don't know the reason yet but...*
first 2 had a decent command of english but the latter 2 are maybe a bit deficient.
I was surprised that before I have even made any underdying declaration of my affections, there was a statement made "she prefers indo guys"
ook.. =)
Not sure how I should respond to that.
I fell asleep while doing the section up top.. so sleepy.. lol
anyway
I was home till about 10.45 pm yesterday waiting I suppose on Yew Wen.. I didn't exactly knew who to call either cos I figured most people would already have plans for a saturday night. plus for some of us, assignments are due in next weekend. so.. yeah
I fell asleep watching football.. omigod.. that's how tired I've been. I only managed to sleep 4 hours on friday night.
so headed out.. was heading out then the girls called, after they did their bit of conferring, they agreed to come along even though it was.. highly malaysian style drinking session.. =) Coffeeshop with chicken wings and beer.. lots of it, it seemed.
so I picked Yew Wen up, then the girls then Jamie and we went to Taipan to get our booze. =D
merrily merrily merrily go, life is but a dream..
=) nursery rhyme.. hahaha
i'm a little unbalanced it seems
anyway
we sat there for about 2+ hours.. a bit of talking, a bit of laughing.. a bit of drinking too..
The girls were rather convinced I was drunk.. cos when I drink, my eyes, then ears, then face goes rather red..
heh
there were concerns that I couldn't drive but I showed them all! .. In fact, I ended up trying to convince everyone that I was drunk.. just for the heck of it.. lol
and then, came back. chat with Jamie for about an hour.. I was soo sleepy.. and stomach ache too.. lol
I've stated all along that everyone knows the theory, but the application is another matter all together.. that applies to Jamie as well, from what I could tell, she hasn't let her ex of 2 years + go.. and because of that she hasn't allowed herself to find that person whom u are gonna spend the rest of your life with. It's a little sad cos she's a really really great person to be with, fun and interesting and.. warm, and.. etc..etc.. =) lazy to gush.. heh
I think I tried to post abit before falling asleep.
I got out of bed at abuot 1.30 today.. half the day gone.. ooo.. bad
=)
looks like an overcast day.. =)

it's been a while since I last post..
Wednesday.. I was gonna post about regrets.. but since then, i've thought about it.. and decided that.. I don't need to..
cos I have nothing to regret..
Wednesday I was gonna go play futsal after work..
turned out, futsal was called off.. so.. went for drinks instead.. and then played Dota with Yew Wen and Alvin? who's actually a neighbour of mine.. we teamed up against Alvin and I killed him like 4 times.. w00t =)
Thursday.. went for lunch with.. mom and then went to look for Yew Wen for drinks.. fella's ... sigh =)
anyway.. after that I went for a haircut.. Alicia accompanied me for it..She was really sweet cos.. I was the one getting the haircut and she had to sit around and wait for me.. =) it was at Sungei Way and it's cheaper than the one i usually go too..
my haircut ended up looking the same.. lol.. anyway the hairdresser's house was really nice.. it was all.. designed and shit.. (guy's description of a nice place) hahaha
and then.. i almost sort of invited myself to have dinner at their place.. =) good, solid fare.. and then looked at her comp some.. and then played mahjong with the aunties..
I won .. and I was a little embarassed to leave cos I had just had dinner at their place AND won their money.. not good really..
I treated Jamie and Alicia to the movie.. 'Guess Who' starring Ashton Kutcher and Bernie Mac... very funny show.. Yew Wen ffked.. as expected =)
I sent them home right away after that.. =)
Friday.. today
went for class ontime.. got lucky with parking as well..
then.. class.. and then lunch with Jacky.. and .. ermm.. his friend and then another friend called Vincent.. then Michelle came..
went to Yew Wen's place to discuss Lending assignment.
got some input in.. and then went for drinks.. YW was very stoned today.. lol
sent them back after that and then I went for class.
IM lecture.. I got some reading in during class.. while listening to him.. Sat next to.. Pat and Pik Hoong.. teased PH about why she came to class.. she's a cool character that one.. don't get flustered.. =) a little sarcastic too.. which is cool =)
then
went for dinner at Petaling Street with the girls and SG1 (Ben and Stella) (incase of misunderstanding, the girls are Sherly, Ivana, and Jeny)
took us more than an hour to get there.. of course.. had to wait for Jeny to pack and change cos she had her presentation today and then was staying over at Sherly's later.
so.. long jam.. heavy rain, I was worried we weren't gonna be able to eat at Petaling St.. but apparently they have indoor now.. lol.. my bad..
and then well.. They didn't like the food too much.. it was passable.. except the Imperial Prawn noodle.
whole meal came up to 112 for 6 people.. 2 types of prawn dishes.. it wasn't so bad
=)
even the drinks came up to about.. nearly 10 bucks already..
then..
went to walk around Petaling St.. I was a little disappointed? cos the girls didn't seem to be enjoying themselves.. I guess I was a little sullen for a while there.
We left SG1 at the herbal shop place where they had some herbal jelly.. which i wouldn't have mind.. oh well
I brought them home.. lol.. just to show them.. my house and my fishes.. and some pictures too..
they couldn't spot me in my high school pictures..
that's how different i look
=)
went to William's after that
was annoyed with William cos he was having a bad day and snapped at me.. i wasn't in a good mood myself..
then we chat for a while.. then Jeny was getting bitten then we left =)
dropped them home and then came home

then, went to college and had class.. short class.. then
helped the 3 indon girls with .. actually only 2 of them are doing CB. Jeny was just sitting with them.
I answered them as best as I could
then
went to look for Yew Wen and Michelle and accompanied them to makan at William's
then.. sent Michelle home and went to look for Jamie and had some beer at Ming Tien until 1+
sent her home
then
yew wen drove himself home, then i took over and drove myself home. =)
short day..
but.. been out for 12 hours.. approx
tired...
g'nite
Current Mood: moved on
moving on... =)
it's been.. a while since I've taken so long to post.. =)
a whole 24 hours without posting.. it's a miracle.. and miracles DO happen.. =)
anyway..
Sunday, stayed home.. went out for lunch with Kelvin Tan, went to a few fish shops after that.. and then came back.
Dinner only started at .. about 9.. picked up Yew Wen then went to get Jamie then we sat down together at.. Dikayu at Taipan.. I had nasi *edit* NASI KANDAR */edit* .. shit.. don't remember what u call that.. lol
Oh yeah.. I was talking to Sharon in the afternoon, and she's still.. unable to let go.
She called me when I was at Dikayu, and I talked to her for like.. 40 minutes or so..
so sad.. she's all alone there. I told her, help me find a job there and I try out life there =D
and we talked about the evil person.. well i call him the evil person.. and i also said that.. he chose that road, why worry for him if he's not gonna listen to you... words I would do well to live by..
Then I sent them home, came back and worked on my presentation thing..
was up until 4.. then went to bed.
Today..
got up.. a little late, went into college, had a brief meeting with the guys for CB presentation.. then went for tute, i was so.. stoned from lack of sleep ugh..
After class, I had to go for CB.. and we did our presentation then.
We got the best marks.. woot =)
4.583 / 5
=D
I had to go for Investment group meeting with Jacky, Aishath and Cindy.. Did get my thoughts across.. wasn't too.. comfortable sitting next to her?
and then.. we went to pyramid for lunch.. ate at Kim Gary. Silly Jamie forgot her purse.. I didn't notice until Ken went to the backseat and showed it to me..
so.. after lunch, dropped it off at the booth.. and there she was.. a slice of heaven.. Winnie is her name.. as I just found out... anyway.. i was very dazed from my lack of sleep so I didn't really notice her.. or rather, she didn't register in my thoughts. I joked and laughed and handed the thing over.. then after walking away.. I turned to Ben and asked..
'she's hot isn't she?'
and he was like.. yup..
=D
Ken was in full agreement as well
heh.. anyway
Jamie called me to scold me.. cos I left so quickly that she didn't have a chance to introduce.
emm..
I moseyed around in the college cos it wasn't class yet..
Saw Wei Ing and accompanied her for a while..
then she left.. and I left to find other company.. there was none to be found.. i think.. oh wait I found Joanna Tong and went with her to the photocopy place.. and made small talk.
=)
and then..
went for Investments lecture.. After the lecture, I went with Jacky and Cindy to leave the campus..
Jacky had to be the smart ass to suggest that I fetch Cindy home cos his car was far away and he would pass her the reader when he passed by that place.. bleagh..
it was a little awkward... She looked for some of her things.. I forgot that she had a coin purse in the glove compartment.
then.. I msged Yeok Cheng to tell her I'll be there at 6.45
msged Yew Wen about something
then msged Jamie saying I'll be there around 7.30
Jamie called back.. and we chatted some...
but.. anyway, sent her home and I left like a bad out of hell.. lol
endured frustrating jams to get to Yeok Cheng's place
and helped her with her computer.. and we went to pyramid for dinner.
ate at lemon grass. quality is nothing to shout about but it's passable.. and something different.
By then, we had already dropped the computer off and got a promise to get a quote by tomorrow.
Over dinner, we talk of.. common friends, my sad story.. =), her.. life story..
etc.. Su Yin is agreeable to meeting me nowadays..
it has after all been 6 years.. =)
anyway..
dropped YC back after that and went to meet Jamie, Eunice, May and Milton for.. some alleged drinks
We left Atrium and went to Kim Gary as May and Milton wanted to eat dinner.
we were there for a short while.. made fun of May. apparently she's my age.. *shrug*
then since no one was in the mood, called it a night and went to meet YW at Alisan and we played DOTA
just got home a while ago..
tired..
good day today
oh.. tentatively made plans with Alicia to watch Be Cool sometime this week..
we'll see how that goes, I'm supposed to meet Nurul tomorrow too..
